Sweater Weather…. NOT!

Every year, I really, really look forward to the fall. There’s just something about that time of year that makes me feel all cozy and comfortable. Pumpkin Spice everything, the gorgeous leaves changing color, and of course, getting my big sweaters out of the back of my closet to wear and make me feel warm and stylish!  It’s the perfect time to bring you out of summer’s heat and gently ease you into winter’s icy chill and to start to plan for the holiday season.  I swear this year I blinked and MISSED sweater weather!  I woke up one morning and the world was covered in a blanket of cold snow and my beautiful beige, cable-knit sweater that made me feel like a million bucks, was covered up by my big, bulky winter coat!  I was robbed I say! Robbed of sweater weather!

Fall is my transition time, my safety net. A time to get my butt in gear and get a game-plan going for holiday decorating and shopping. It’s a marker that lets me know that there is still time to get myself organized and plan ahead, and not to stress.  Before I knew it, my friends were posting pictures of their Christmas trees on Facebook before I had even gotten rid of my Halloween pumpkins! All my social media sites, store aisles and tv commercials are reminding me that Christmas is just around the corner! Where did the time go!? I feel unprepared for winter, unprepared for the holiday season!!!

So, I’ve decided to take a deep breath, take a sip of a pumpkin spice latte and I am going to get myself organized. Mother Nature may have taken sweater weather from me much too soon this year, but I am determined to stay on track! I’m going to make some lists, prioritize and get down to business.
